Job Summary
Non-technical general labor and equipment operation support for the mobile maintenance department, covering snow removal, grounds/facility maintenance, and equipment checks. Will utilize hand tools and small machinery and operate heavy equipment as needed. Responsibilities include building/site/shop cleanup, assisting mechanics by carrying machine parts/tools/materials, performing equipment walk-arounds, maintaining waste oil burners and trash incinerator, maintaining safety and environmental compliance, and adhering to safety programs. Requires a valid state driver's license, ability to lift 75+ pounds, and strong team collaboration; safety PPE is required at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- valid driver’s license
- ability to read and write instructions, perform simple mathematical calculations, and keep records
- experience with building, site and shop maintenance cleanup preferred
- experience with oil burners and boilers is a plus
- ability to lift 75+ pounds
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- ability to work in a team environment
- progression through wage scale contingent on checklists
- health, safety and environmental requirements including PPE
