Job Summary
Conduct safe operation of all area cranes, mobile equipment, and cutting torches for scrap disposal. Operate sample shears, strapping, packaging equipment, walking beam conveyors, and associated handling machinery. Support routine maintenance activities, downturn work, and preventative maintenance checks while performing continuous observations and recording of quality data. Execute various utility functions assigned by the area supervisor. Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure strict safety awareness during repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting, and walking tasks. Work scheduled and unscheduled shifts in a hot industrial setting.
Required Qualifications
- Strong safety awareness
- Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision
- Works well with others and independently
- Quality and detail-oriented
- Mechanically inclined
- Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled
- Ability to work routinely in a hot
- Repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting, and walking will be required to support routine responsibilities
