Job Summary

Execute planning, administration, and logistics for a portfolio of Foundation and ASCO events, including donor experiences, volunteer meetings, and stakeholder engagements. Manage timelines, budgets, contracts, site inspections, vendor relationships, and registration while coordinating food, beverage, audiovisual needs, and staffing. Lead logistics for donor-hosted fundraising events and partner with the Conference Center to manage onsite operations for volunteer meetings. Administer the ASCO Travel account by handling approvals, answering inquiries, and monitoring unused tickets to ensure staff and volunteer usage. Support other ASCO events with logistical assistance when workload is high. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5–7 years of direct event planning experience, with a primary location at ASCO headquarters in Alexandria, VA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, related field
  • 5 – 7 years of direct, hands-on experience in meeting and event planning
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, and utilizing analytical skills to achieve measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrated project or events management experience
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Must lift up to 20 lbs
  • Travel 10-20 days/yr
  • Must reside within 75 miles of our headquarters
