Job Summary

Meetings & Events Manager leads coordination of resort events under 25 rooms peak, including social, no-room-contract events, micro-weddings and familiarization trips. Acts as primary client contact from planning through post-event follow-up, oversees vendor relations, creates and updates group resumes and banquet event orders, manages deposits and forecasted revenue, plans banquet menus/activities and aims to upsell services to maximize revenue. Responsibilities include hosting client site visits, leading pre-event meetings with department heads, ensuring accurate event details (BEOs), maintaining knowledge of hotel services, responding to client inquiries, and ensuring confidentiality and professional operations. Requires flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends; door-to-door coordination and leadership of on-site event execution, vendor coordination, and post-event billing. Qualifications emphasize luxury event experience, strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency with hotel software and Microsoft Office; comfortable with budgets, P&L awareness, and sales-focused activities. The role is anchored in a hospitality environment with expectations for a high level of customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of Event Experience in the Luxury Market
  • Operating knowledge of hotel software (Delphi, Opera) or similar systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of hotel catering operations
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to upsell menu items, beverages and wines
  • Familiarity with sales goals, interpreting budgets, P&L statements, and client budgets
  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
  • Ability to work varying schedules
  • Fluency in English (reading/writing)
