Job Summary
Coordinates all pre-planning and onsite logistics for national and international medical education events, including surgeon education programs, fellow education programs, and cadaver labs; collaborates with Professional Education Managers, Marketing and Sales to coordinate regional surgeon education events; manages non-clinical aspects of the customer experience at Axogen events; oversees vendor selection and ensures events are planned and executed on-time and within budget; ensures adherence to regulations and company standards; travel 50-70% and weekend work; manages attendee travel, accommodations, and venues, materials, inventory, shipping, and regulatory/compliance documentation; utilizes event management systems (e.g., CVENT, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, MedCompli, ZOOM, Concur); hires and oversees contractors and interns as needed; location: 111 West Oak Ave., Tampa, FL 33602
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences and/or in a related field
- Able to travel 50-70% and must be able to work on weekends
- At least three years’ experience in life science event planning including venue selection, contract negotiation, on-site coordination and compliance documentation and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Event moderator or host preferred
- Medical Device and/or Continuing Medical Education (CME) event experience preferred
- Track record of vendor negotiation preferred
