Job Summary
MedTech Technical Support Representative provides front-line technical software and hardware support for an automated medication dispensing system in hospitals, pharmacies, and clinical settings. Responsibilities include remote software patch installation and post-upgrade verification, prioritizing service orders and inquiries related to hardware, software, networking, and IT, delivering empathetic customer service, documenting steps in the tracking system, problem recognition and escalation as needed, obtaining and maintaining vendor credentialing for coverage areas, and setting availability for new work. Requires hands-on troubleshooting in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and ability to meet healthcare facility credentialing and immunization requirements. Travel to customer sites as needed is contemplated, with part-time, as-needed scheduling averaging about 30 hours per week and potential growth into broader field-service responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in biomedical or computer related field or 1-3 years of equivalent related technical support of PC experience preferred
- High school diploma and 1 year of related experience required
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer support required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to assigned sites
- Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status
- Experience with field service in healthcare or automation equipment (preferred)
- A+ certification preferred
