Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while coordinating activities of assigned staff to maintain standards of practice. Function within organizational policies to provide quality nursing care across all assigned units. This role is available for new graduates or candidates with one year of hospital experience, requiring current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS. Additional specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP are required within 180 days depending on the unit assignment. The position is part-time PRN coverage at Piedmont Macon Medical.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- PALS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – prior to independent chemotherapy administration
- PEARS Certification
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
