Job Summary

Monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and respond to patient needs while conducting focused assessments and reporting condition changes. Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed; implement and evaluate patient care plans. Maintain accurate documentation, educate patients and families on health maintenance, and ensure adherence to infection control protocols. Assist with wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection. Respond to medical emergencies and support code team interventions. Participate in orientation and training of new staff or students as assigned. Maintain regular attendance and comply with all policies.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure
  • LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Alabama: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
  • Alabama: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
  • Florida: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Florida: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Florida: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
  • Georgia: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Georgia: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Georgia: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications within 90 days of employment
  • Indiana: CPR certification within 90 days of employment
  • Mississippi: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, medication administration, and patient care practices
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory requirements
  • Adaptability to changes in patient care needs and healthcare practices
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
