Job Summary

Manage end-to-end operational accountability for the Medicines Supply Resilience Africa project, leading daily implementation across technical, finance, and partner workstreams. Develop annual implementation planning, monitor timelines, and oversee reporting processes to ensure high-quality results. Drive integration of interdependencies, identify risks, and resolve delivery challenges while maintaining program quality and donor compliance. Serve as the programmatic point of contact for consortium members, facilitating partner meetings and managing subaward compliance. Lead donor management efforts, including communications, briefings, and inquiries. Manage program financial tracking and forecasting, oversee consultant and vendor engagements from scope development to performance monitoring, and provide direct supervision of project management staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - International Development, Public health, Science or other relevant degree
  • Eight (8) years of project management experience
  • five (5) years focused on donor-funded (e.g., Unitaid, US Government funding agencies, World Bank, Global Fund, Foundations etc.) programs
  • Demonstrated experience establishing program management systems and processes
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating complex consortium donor-funded projects
  • Proven experience supervising and developing project teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree (e.g., MPH, MBA, MPA, or equivalent)
  • PMP certification
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple workflows, while effectively managing project timelines and deliverable schedules
  • Knowledge of multiple donor policies and procedures and prior management of donor-funded programs
  • Monitoring and evaluation experience with donor-funded projects
  • Proven skills in group facilitation, team building, and partner coordination
  • Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with technical experts, other partners and donor agencies
  • Prior experience and success working in complex environments, with teams whose members are physically located in different time zones and geographic areas
  • Professional and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and key external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Fluency in another language, such as French, Spanish or Portuguese, with ability to communicate (written and verbal) with key stakeholders
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest degree of ethics and integrity
  • Ability to work in cross-cultural settings
