Job Summary
Install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and SCADA equipment while performing routine and emergency maintenance on these systems. Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting power and control systems and coordinate repair, testing, and installation of service equipment, MCCs, panelboards, and conduit. Handle mechanical and electrical installations including service feeders, branch circuits, controls, fiber, and network cabling. This role requires a self-motivated individual capable of working independently in the industrial field, traveling regularly, and communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Field experience in the industrial field with power and control systems
- Understanding of electrical schematics and controls
- Self motivated individual – able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines
- Hand and power tool capabilities
- Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our engineers and field technicians
- Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods and be comfortable and effective doing so directly to customers and co-workers
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to drive regularly
- Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsored visa (work permit)
- Must be willing to travel
Desired Qualifications
- Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician is a plus but not a requirement
