Job Summary
Medior Databricks Engineer at RabobankTech4Dev contributes to building a secure data platform that ingests, enriches, and delivers prioritized findings to improve security posture. You will develop large-scale data pipelines to ingest, aggregate, and enrich findings from different tools, create actionable dashboards and insights, and design data models for analytics and operational use. You’ll collaborate closely with platform engineering, DevOps, and application engineers to ensure practical, secure, and user-friendly data flows with observability as a core principle. The role combines hands-on Databricks work (Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, Unity Catalog) with a strong emphasis on data quality, reliability, and security-focused data delivery, all within a hybrid work environment at Rabobank’s Tech4Dev team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Around 3–5 years of relevant experience in data engineering
- Good programming skills (Python)
- Familiarity with software engineering practices such as testing and version control
- Experience with core data engineering concepts (ingestion, transformation, serving)
- Experience designing data models for analytics/operational use cases
- Hands-on experience integrating multiple data sources (APIs, event streams, databases)
- Exposure to Databricks (Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, Unity Catalog)
- Understanding of data quality, validation, observability concepts
- Experience with containerized environments and modern DevOps setups
- Ability to translate requirements into data pipelines and insights
- Interest in prioritization and risk-based data insights
- Demonstrated collaboration across teams
- Nice to have GraphQL familiarity
- Exposure to graph-based data models
- Interest in AI/LLM-driven analytics
- Knowledge of risk modeling or threat modeling (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK)
- Interest in security-related data domains (SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC)
- Experience with security data domains in a production environment
- Understanding of data architecture patterns (Medallion)
- 3-5 years of experience in a production data environment
