Job Summary
Medina Office Clinical Intern responsibilities include providing individual and/or group counseling, school and family education, Therapeutic Behavioral Services, advocacy, information and referral, transportation, alcohol and drug education and prevention, group work, crisis intervention, and assessment. Formulate goal-oriented treatment plans, facilitate TBS within treatment plan meetings, assist in crisis intervention and problem resolution, complete necessary trainings and maintain client records, and provide advocacy and liaison work with schools, the justice system, social services and other community agencies. Hours are flexible and under 20 per week, with some evenings. Requires adherence to professional ethics and agency codes; duties span home, school, and office settings with clients across children, adolescents and families.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Minimum current Master’s student in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy required.
- Licensure: Valid Ohio Trainee license (Social Work Trainee, Counselor Trainee, Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee), or higher, required.
