Medication Technician - PM

Job Summary
Prepare and distribute medication to residents, coordinating services with the pharmacy and physician while ordering and tracking refills. Maintain accurate, confidential medication and care records, and encourage residents to participate in activities. Provide direct personal care and ensure a safe environment by following established safety standards. Collaborate with housekeepers, maintenance staff, and other departments to support resident needs. Shifts run Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Starting pay is $17.50, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Must be able to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases
Desired Qualifications
- A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
