Job Summary
Administer or assist with medication supervision according to physician orders, documenting all actions on the MAR and verifying accuracy before shift end. Provide physical and psychosocial care for residents, including activities of daily living, mobility assistance, and personal hygiene, while maintaining infection control standards and reporting status changes to the Wellness Director. Oversee the wellness staffing schedule by planning it up to one month in advance and participating in an on-call rotation to fill open shifts, available 24/7 by phone. Conduct change-of-shift reports, perform narcotic counts, and ensure room cleanliness and safety compliance. Respond promptly to emergencies and collaborate with peers to support a resident-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required.
- Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides as well as the company medication aide skills competency checklist.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
- Must be available by phone 24/7 while on-call for staffing needs and able to fill open shift if needed.
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for Part-time overnight shift
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred.
