Job Summary
Assist residents with daily administration of prescribed medications, including self-administration, as outlined in individual care plans. Follow documentation protocols to report changes in resident status and manage medication inventory, storage, and pharmacy re-orders. Provide compassionate support for activities of daily living, encourage participation in life enrichment programs, and promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, and staff. Requires a valid state medication administration license, at least 12 months of caregiving experience, and willingness to participate in weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid state medication administration license (such as CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP/Certified Caregiver) or meet the state requirements for medication administration in assisted living
- Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain
- At least 12 months of experience administering medications in a professional caregiving setting
- Willingness to participate in weekend rotation
