Job Summary
Administer prescribed medications to residents according to individual care plans, including self-administration where applicable. Manage medication inventory, ensure proper storage, and coordinate re-orders with pharmacies. Provide compassionate support for activities of daily living while promoting resident independence through engagement and companionship. Document resident status changes and facilitate communication among healthcare professionals, families, and staff. Prioritize weekend rotation participation and maintain high integrity in all caregiving duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid state medication administration license (such as CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP/Certified Caregiver) or meet the state requirements for medication administration in assisted living
- Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain
- At least 12 months of experience administering medications in a professional caregiving setting
- Willingness to participate in weekend rotation
