Job Summary
Medication Technician/Medication Assistant in Coconut Creek, FL administers and assists with medication administration for residents under RN/LPN supervision, verifies resident identity, records drug details, observes ingestion, monitors vital signs, maintains medical records, and provides broad resident care including activities and companionship; multiple shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized by applicable state governing authority to assist or administer medications
- Meet state assisted living medication assistant guidelines
- Prefer experience in medication assistance with older adults
- Demonstrates organizational skills
- Mature, pleasant, friendly and cheerful personality
- Under supervision of RN/LPN, administer and/or assist with prescribed medications and maintain related medical records
- Document medication administration details (drug name, dosage, route, time)
- Monitor residents for reactions and report significant changes to Wellness Manager
- Maintain electronic medical records and compliant documentation
- Provide bed baths, grooming, mobility assistance, and activities as assigned
