Medication Technician/Med Tech - All Shifts

Job Summary

Administer or assist with medication administration and supervise the medication cart, ensuring accurate documentation on the MAR and conducting required narcotic counts. Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, mobility, and personal hygiene. Oversee the wellness staffing schedule by planning it one month in advance and participate in an on-call rotation to fill open shifts. Respond promptly to emergencies, report changes in resident status, and maintain infection control standards. Ensure room cleanliness and safety while collaborating with team members to support a resident-centered environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required.
  • Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides as well as the company medication aide skills competency checklist.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases.
  • Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
  • Must be available by phone 24/7 while on-call for staffing needs and able to fill open shift if needed.
  • Experience in Assisted Living preferred.
