Job Summary
Prepare and distribute medication to residents, coordinating services with the pharmacy and physician while ordering and tracking all refills and changes. Maintain accurate, confidential medication and care records, and encourage residents to participate in activities. Provide direct personal care and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff to ensure a safe environment for all. Coordinate with co-workers and other departments to foster teamwork. This role supports the mission of Ivy Park at Laguna Creek, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group, where residents enjoy individualized support and meaningful lifestyles.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Excellent customer service skills
