Job Summary
Prepare and distribute medication to residents as ordered, coordinating services with the pharmacy and physician while tracking all refills and changes. Maintain accurate, confidential medication and care records, and encourage residents to participate in activities alongside direct personal care duties. Work cooperatively with housekeepers and maintenance staff to ensure a safe, secure environment for all guests. Complete required background checks, health screenings, and vaccinations per regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
