Job Summary
Prepare and distribute medication to residents as ordered, coordinating services with the pharmacy and physician. Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries while maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records. Provide direct personal care, encourage resident participation in activities, and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff to ensure a safe, secure environment for all guests. Maintain written and verbal communication skills with employees, supervisors, physicians, and families while adhering to established nursing standards and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Must be able to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
