Job Summary
Prepare and distribute medication to residents, coordinating services with the pharmacy and physician while tracking all refills and changes. Maintain accurate, confidential medication and care records, and encourage residents to participate in activities alongside direct personal care duties. Work with housekeepers and maintenance staff to ensure a safe environment, and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, and families. Operate MS Office programs and pass background checks and health screenings. Part-time Friday through Sunday shifts from 10pm to 6am.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Must be able to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases
Desired Qualifications
- A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
