Job Summary
Medication Technician supervises and assists in administering medications to residents as ordered, coordinates medication services with pharmacies and physicians, orders and tracks medication changes and deliveries, maintains accurate confidential medication records, and supports a safe, collaborative care environment. Requires HS diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus. Roles involves interacting with residents, families and staff, providing direct personal care, encouraging participation in activities, and adhering to nursing standards and company policies. May involve vaccination or PPE per regulatory guidelines; strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate MS Office programs
- Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including physical and TB Tests)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) is preferred
- A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
