Job Summary
Administer and assist with self-administration of prescribed medications to residents, verifying identity and recording drug details, dosage, route, and time. Observe ingestion or application, assist with various routes including oral, topical, and transdermal, and document reasons for non-ingestion. Take vital signs, monitor responses to medication, and notify personnel of unexpected reactions while maintaining accurate medical records. Provide personal care such as bed baths, skin care, positioning, and ambulation assistance, and change dressings or catheters as directed. Remind residents of pre-measured medications, lead social activities, and perform assigned housekeeping duties to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications
- Each team member who assists or administers medication shall be authorized by the applicable state governing authority.
- Meet requirements of the state assisted living medication assistant guidelines
- Complete required annual medication training.

- Preferably experience in medication assistance with older adults.
- Experienced and interested in working with older adults.
- Demonstrates organizational skills
- Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality.
