Job Summary
Medication Technician provides medication services and direct resident care in a Prestige Senior Living community. Duties include operating the medication room, processing orders, administering and assisting with self-administration of routine and non-routine medications, completing treatments, maintaining records, coordinating with pharmacies, reporting medication errors and changes in resident condition, and communicating with physicians, families, and staff. Also assists with daily living activities, meals, transfers, and supportive care while promoting residents’ dignity and independence. Requires a high school diploma or GED, state medication pass certification or equivalent, CPR, First Aid, and any state-required trainings. Full-time opportunity at Prestige Senior Living - Bridgewood in Vancouver, WA.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred or as required by state regulations
- Must hold state required medication pass certification or other required certification
- complete state required delegation and/or training requirements
- successfully complete the medication pass competency
- Must have word processing skills
- Must have current CPR certification
- First Aid training
- Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations
- Must complete all state required trainings as necessary
