MEDICATION TECHNICIAN - HAYES BARTON PLACE

Provides medication administration for residents; takes and documents orders, receives medications, and administers medications. Performs nursing care procedures including vital signs and, when needed, enemas and suppositories. Maintains universal precautions and hazardous chemical procedures to ensure safety for residents and staff. Communicates with physicians and other health care professionals to ensure quality medication orders and promptly reports changes in residents’ status to doctors, family, and administration. Requires Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) or completion of the 75-hour course plus the company Medication Administration course. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
