Job Summary
Medication Technician responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered and per nursing standards, policies, and practices. Provides direct personal care, encourages resident participation in activities, and collaborates with housekeepers and maintenance staff. Responsibilities include preparing/dispensing medications, coordinating medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians, tracking changes/refills/deliveries, maintaining confidential records, and upholding safety standards. Requires 18+ with HS diploma; LVN is a plus; 1 year medication assistance experience preferred; Overnight, full-time shift with at least one weekend day; on-site in El Dorado Hills, CA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus
- 18 years or older
- 1 year experience in medication assistance at RCFE preferred
- ability to operate MS Office (Word, Excel)
- pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (TB)
- ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
