Job Summary
Prepare and distribute medication to residents as ordered, coordinating services with the pharmacy and physician. Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries while maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records. Provide direct personal care and encourage residents to participate in activities, working cooperatively with housekeepers and maintenance staff. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Must be able to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
