Job Summary
Medication Technicians administer prescribed medications and assist residents with activities of daily living within a Cogir Senior Living community. Responsibilities include following individual care plans, documenting changes, managing medication inventory, coordinating re-orders/deliveries with pharmacies, and providing compassionate, team-based support to residents. The role emphasizes engagement, memory-care support when needed, and open communication with healthcare professionals, residents, and families. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid state CNA/HCA license, First Aid/CPR, Nurse Delegation and Diabetes Specialty certificates (or willingness to obtain), and at least 12 months of medication administration experience. Weekend rotation is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid state CNA or HCA license per state regulations
- Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain
- Nurse Delegation and Diabetes Specialty Certificates or willingness to obtain within a prescribed period
- At least 12 months of experience administering medications in a professional caregiving setting
