Job Summary
Medication Technician position (FT), PM and NOC shifts, responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents, coordinating medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician, ordering/tracking medication changes, maintaining confidential medication records, and ensuring a safe environment. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to use MS Office, strong customer service, and effective communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families. Minimum 18 years old; background check and health screening required; vaccination/PPE may be requested. Location is San Juan Capistrano, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Vaccination or PPE requirements per regulatory guidelines may be requested
