Job Summary
Administer or assist with medication administration and supervise residents' activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility. Document all care on medication administration records, conduct narcotic counts, and maintain medication cart security. Provide physical assistance with eating, toileting, and personal hygiene while observing and reporting changes in residents' physical or cognitive status. Oversee the wellness staffing schedule, planning coverage one month in advance, and participate in an on-call rotation to fill open shifts. Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure room cleanliness and infection control protocols are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required
- Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides as well as the company medication aide skills competency checklist
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
- Must be available by phone 24/7 while on-call for staffing needs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Full-time Sunday through Thursday
