Job Summary
Administer and assist with self-administration of prescribed medications to residents, verifying identity and recording dosage, route, and time on specified forms. Present medications to residents, observe ingestion, and document reasons for non-ingestion while maintaining accurate electronic medical records. Take vital signs, monitor resident responses to medication, and notify designated personnel of unexpected reactions. Provide personal care including bed baths, skin care, positioning, and ambulation assistance under the direction of the RN or Wellness Manager. Perform housekeeping duties, change dressings, and facilitate socialization among residents. Complete required annual training and adhere to community medication policies. Shifts available from 7a-3p, 3p-11p, and 11p-7a.
Required Qualifications
- Each team member who assists or administers medication shall be authorized by the applicable state governing authority.
- Meet requirements of the state assisted living medication assistant guidelines
- Demonstrates organizational skills
- Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality
- Must be available for shifts: 7a - 3p, 3p-11p, and 11p - 7a
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably experience in medication assistance with older adults
- Experienced and interested in working with older adults
