Job Summary
Medication Technicians are responsible for enhancing the resident experience by supervising self-administration of medication and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), while promoting a dignified atmosphere. Individuals must interact empathetically with residents, maintain a clean and safe environment, and report on resident health and safety. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, Med-Tech certification, and relevant experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle various physical demands are essential for success in this role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification.
- One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups.
- Computer skills in word processing software and electronic medical records.
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with HIPAA regulations.
