Job Summary
Medication Technician/Care Partner responsible for administering medications to residents following regulatory guidelines, maintaining proper care records, reporting changes in residents' conditions, and interacting with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public to ensure resident safety and satisfaction. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, a current Medication Aide/Technician Certification with CEUs, English proficiency, ability to complete required state training, and at least one year of experience with medications and the elderly; must obtain any applicable licenses/registrations and comply with continuing education requirements. Strong teamwork, honesty, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and valid Medication Aide/Technician Certification with CEUs
- Must have a minimum of one year experience working with medications and the elderly population
- Must possess all required licenses and/or certifications if required by State licensing authority and maintain continuing education requirements
- Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
