Job Summary
Medication Technician 7pm-7am responsible for supervising residents' self-administration of medications, assisting with ADLs, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while promoting independence. Provides compassionate resident interactions, maintains a clean and safe environment, assists with dining service, participates in leisure activities, ensures proper sign-out procedures, follows HIPAA, supports training of new staff, and remains available as essential personnel during emergencies. Requires High school diploma or GED and Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification; 1-2 years related experience may be substituted. Must be able to read documents, interpret safety rules, perform basic math with money and weights, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
