Job Summary
Medication Technician (3pm–11pm) provides medication administration and supervision to residents, ensuring safe, accurate delivery per physician orders and MAR; assists with activities of daily living, maintains medication cart security and narcotic counts, and coordinates with wellness staff to support resident dignity, independence, and well-being. Responsibilities include documenting medications on MAR, conducting shift-change reports, maintaining infection-control practices, supporting safety and sanitation, and participating in on-call staffing coverage. Requires state certification if applicable, English literacy, ability to lift 40 pounds, and prior Assisted Living experience preferred; on-site at The Residence at Whitehall in Pittsburgh, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required
- Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides and related competency
- Be in good physical health; ability to lift 40 pounds; ability to read, write, and speak English
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
