Job Summary
The Medication Technician is responsible for the administration and supervision of medications to residents, ensuring safe and timely delivery according to regulations. Key duties include documenting and maintaining medication records, assisting residents with daily living activities, and overseeing wellness staffing schedules. Additional responsibilities encompass reporting changes in residents' conditions, ensuring cleanliness and safety in residents' rooms, and responding to emergencies. Candidates must possess relevant state certification, pass drug testing and background checks, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required
- Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases; Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required; Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
