Job Summary
Medication Technician provides high quality personal care and precise administration of resident medications in a CBRF/RCAC setting, including review of ISPs, monitoring for changes in condition, mentoring new staff, and cross-department support (activities, dietary, housekeeping). Responsibilities include administering medications per the Six Rights of Medication Administration, maintaining accurate records, ensuring HIPAA/compliance, assisting with ADLs, supporting residents and families, and promoting a clean, safe environment. The role requires strong observation and communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to follow DHS regulations and DHS/CBRF guidelines; prior caregiving experience in a CBRF/RCAC setting is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of CBRF medication administration training and required CBRF core trainings (Standard Precautions, Fire Safety, First Aid/Choking, and Resident Rights)
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Flexible and available to work beyond regularly scheduled hours, as well as weekends and holidays as needed
- 18 years old
