Job Summary
Administer or assist with medication administration and supervise residents' activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility. Document all medications on the MAR, conduct narcotic counts, and maintain security of the medication cart. Provide physical and psychosocial care while observing and reporting changes in residents' physical or cognitive status. Oversee the wellness staffing schedule by planning it up to one month in advance and participate in an on-call rotation to fill open shifts. Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required
- Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides as well as the company medication aide skills competency checklist
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
- Must be available by phone 24/7 while on-call for staffing needs and able to fill open shift if needed
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
