Job Summary
Administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician. Responsibilities include appropriate documentation of medication and treatment administrations, events and incidents, and summary documentation in resident records. Direct care and service to residents is provided as needed while effectively communicating with residents, family members, physicians, support staff, and ancillary care providers. A current certification or licensure in medication administration and documentation is required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have satisfactorily completed training in medications – including administration and documentation
- Must be able to demonstrate skill and knowledge of medication identification, use, purpose, adverse effect, and contra-indications
- Must maintain current certification or licensure
