Job Summary

The Medication Safety Officer coordinates and standardizes the enterprise-wide medication safety program, leads error reporting and proactive prevention strategies, collaborates with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff and multiple committees to improve medication-use safety, develops and spreads best practices, and establishes quality metrics and follow-up interventions to ensure safe medication administration across Sanford Health’s network.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Two years of experience preferred
  • Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited residency is preferred
  • License in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice
