Job Summary
Ensure the proper administration of medication, maintain medication carts and recordkeeping, and assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care. Be present to create human connection during vulnerable moments while actively supporting residents with sitting, standing, walking, and post-fall assistance. Work the 7:00am to 11:00am shift on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at Vitalia Strongsville. This part-time role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds daily.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Appropriately certified per state guidelines and certification is active and in good standing
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Professional in appearance and conduct
- Mature interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about residents
- Ability to stand, walk, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall
- Criminal clearance
- Good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks
- Health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment
- Test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening and annually thereafter
- Availability for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shifts from 7:00am to 11:00am
