Job Summary

Prepare prescribed medications for outpatient use by entering patient demographics, labeling drugs, and providing them to providers for final review while maintaining accuracy and safety. Process prescription orders by verifying details, running medications through insurance to adjudicate live claims, and collecting copayments. Manage medication inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, ensuring proper storage, and handling recalls or expirations. Assist in medication reconciliation by comparing patient regimens with new prescriptions to identify discrepancies. Perform regular quality assurance checks, audits, and expiry date verifications to minimize errors. Communicate medication information to patients, solve real-time issues, and collaborate with medical staff, CCA's, and PRC's.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare clinical setting
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT – state)
  • Proficient using email and word processing software
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
  • Good communication skills

  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work
