Job Summary

Prepare prescribed medications for outpatient use by entering patient demographics, labeling drugs, and providing them to providers for final review. Process prescription orders by verifying details, adjudicating live claims, and collecting copayments. Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and handling recalls or expirations. Assist with medication reconciliation to compare current regimens with new prescriptions and identify discrepancies. Maintain quality assurance through regular audits, checking expiry dates, and following safety protocols. Communicate medication information to patients and collaborate with medical staff to solve real-time issues.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare clinical setting
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT – state)
  • Proficient using email and word processing software
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
  • Good communication skills

  • Neat, professional appearance
  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work
