Job Summary
Provide medication assistance for residents by pouring, preparing, administering, and documenting care in accordance with state regulations and company policy. Maintain the medication cart and storage room, ensuring accurate counts and security during assigned shifts. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility as needed. Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activities while observing for changes in condition and reporting promptly to licensed staff. Complete all required documentation, including medication administration records and incident reports, and support company policies and care philosophy.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year of previous experience as a Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members
- Must be able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must complete Medication Aide training (and certification in states where required)
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
