Job Summary
Provide medication reminders and administer medications according to state regulations. Order, receive, and audit medications to ensure availability and compliance. Prioritize tasks to deliver optimum services as resident needs change. Maintain resident records in a digital platform daily, documenting distribution, incidents, and observations of physical or behavioral conditions. Perform regular room visits and checks, responding promptly to resident requests, emergency pull cords, and calls from family. Monitor resident safety and well-being, communicating changes to the Director of Health and Wellness or Wellness Nurse. Maintain open communication with supervisors and peers regarding resident issues. Work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Medication certification
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Must successfully complete the ESL medication competency upon hire and as required by state regulation at a minimum
