Medication Aide - Woodville (23575)

Administer oral and topical medications to patients/residents as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Take and record vital signs, observe for medication reactions, and report side effects to a licensed nurse. Document medication administration and PRN treatments, dispense narcotics with proper accounting, and secure medication carts and rooms per state and federal regulations. Perform observation rounds, supervise nursing assistants/orderlies, ensure medication storage is clean and organized, and remove expired medications for destruction. Maintain patient safety, attend quality assurance meetings, and enforce abuse prevention policies. Requires state certification as a Nursing Assistant and medication administration certification.
