Medication Aide-Technician

Job Summary
Lead and supervise the medication technician team in delivering services per resident care plans; administer medications following physician orders and MAR; verify daily documentation and task completion; communicate resident needs to the team and families; participate in meal service; supervise shifts and support staff development; ensure all required certifications, in-service training, and ongoing education are maintained; follow HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines; assist with workplace safety and return-to-work processes; foster teamwork and contribute to a safe, high-quality care environment; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum one year of caregiving experience
- At least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field
- Ability to read physician orders and accurately follow Medication Administration Records
- Understanding of medical terminology and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) preferred
- Required state certifications for medication administration
- Must meet all health requirements, including TB clearance
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and resolve conflicts
- Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
- Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor
