Job Summary
Administer medications and perform assigned treatments under the direction of a licensed nurse, while documenting observations and care performed per facility guidelines. Assist residents with activities of daily living including hygiene, toileting, feeding, and environment care such as laundry and housekeeping. Monitor resident behavior, provide redirection, and report changes in condition to the supervising Resident Care Director. Maintain HIPAA compliance, complete necessary care documentation, and perform incidental household services as part of the personal care plan. Requires CNA and Registered Medication Aide certification, six months assisted living experience, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- United States Citizenship or evidence of a valid Alien Work Permit
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this state
- Certified as Registered Medication Aide in this state
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide covered PCA services according to the person's PCA Care Plan
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle and have reliable transportation for work in the community
- Ability to make appropriate professional judgments
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision
- Occasional use of hands, wrists and fingers and lifting or moving up to 75 lbs may be required
- Movements such as stooping, crouching, bending, kneeling, climbing and reaching are occasionally required
- This position requires spending a majority of the workday standing and walking, with occasional sitting
- Noise and/or level of distractions in the work environment is moderate
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least six months experience in an assisted living community preferred
