Job Summary
Medication Aide administers medications under the direction of a licensed nurse in an assisted living setting, while helping residents with activities of daily living and maintaining documentation per HIPAA and care plans. Responsibilities include dispensing/monitoring medications, ensuring regulatory compliance, redirection and observation per the resident's care plan, and performing incidental household tasks as part of the care plan. Requires high school diploma or GED (preferred), 18+ years old, CNA and Registered Medication Aide certifications valid in the state, and reliable transportation for community visits. Must maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, adapt to residents' needs, and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Physical requirements include ability to stand/walk most of the day and lift up to 75 lbs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this state
- Certified as Registered Medication Aide in this state
- United States Citizenship or evidence of a valid Alien Work Permit
